The first of the fineartamerica.com pictures are up.
As far as I can tell, FineartAmerica functions very much like DeviantArt (without the llama badges) except it seems to be more focused on sales than display.
In any case, only a small percentage of my photography will be uploaded to fineartamerica, and all of it will be from the artistic section.
As of now, 'It Doesn't Live Here Anymore', 'Tracks' and the unofficially titled prints 'Osprey' and 'Hoover the Cat' have been posted. That list will be slowly added to, but its low priority and there is no rush.
And we make progress.
Other than that, some of the pictures which did not have captions before now do. Nothing major.
Tomorrow is the awards ceremony for J Sargeant Reynolds' student art exhibit. I don't know whether or not I'll win best in show again this year, but I will be very surprised if I don't at least place in photography or mixed media.
To a certain extent, whether I win or not is irrelevant. Good publicity for CatsPaw Digital Photography, maybe, but I'm more concerned with turning the awards ceremony into a CDP project. Free translation: I plan to make an expedition video. This is troubling because I don't think at this point I will have anyone there to hold the video camera. As far as the festivities and event is concerned, this isn't an issue unless I win something. The whole point of the videos, however, is for CatsPaw Digital Photography (most probably in the form of, well, ME) to appear therein. Perhaps I can use a tripod. The video won't be as dynamic as I would like, but I think I can make something work.
We will see.
